Shem Creek Capital History
The Bob Parsons Memorial
An early Shem Creek Partner, Bob Parsons tragically lost his life to pancreatic cancer in 2015. In his memory, Shem Creek hosts the Bob Parsons Memorial each September to support cancer research and assistance at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Our mission is to turn loss into purpose and bring people together to fight this devastating disease.
Through the generosity of sponsors, donors, volunteers and participants, the Bob Parsons Memorial has raised over $2.4 million for the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. These efforts are directed toward pancreatic cancer early-detection research, chronic lymphocytic leukemia research and the Patient Assistance Crisis Fund.
At its heart, the Bob Parsons Memorial is about connection and community. It is a day where old friends reunite, new friendships are formed, stories are shared, and people come together for something bigger than themselves. From the golf course to the dinner, auction and celebration that follow, every detail reflects the belief that together we can make a difference.
